Echo Station 1

...You'd think it'd lonely, here all alone. It is sometimes, but it's hard to feel sorry for yourself when you gaze upon the overwhelming beauty of a nebula every morning. I have no bosses, which was the main selling point of the job to me. I have a lax schedule, a lifetime's worth of food, music, the internet and time. Lots and lots of time. Unless I die at a young age from cancer or some such ailment. I apologize for my dark speculations, I am also a bit mad...as you may have guessed. Or maybe you didn't, at any rate, it's a factual statement. On Echo Station 1, madness is an occupational hazard. 

Right now, I'm winding down after eating some nutrient cakes and drinking some wine. There is no gravity here, so I'm free to swim through the air. It does make some things more complicated than usual, but the designers of the Station had astounding foresight. 

Tonight I am working on the drum and bass tracks for Song for the Living Impaired. I'm confident that I'll get them down before I pass out from exhaustion. 

What? What was that? Why do I call myself Cosmic Owl? Wouldn't you like to know...

Surreality has been a mind expanding project for me. I have recorded several albums in the past, but I consider this my debut. I have always been intrigued by the surreal, the strange and the psychedelic. I always encourage my listeners to partake in their mind altering vice of choice while perceiving the music. 

I would tell you how I chose the name, but I'm sure that you already know that it's a play on words, or a play of words? Words at play? Anyway,  this is not a concept album, but I do try to make the songs flow together nicely. The tracks vary in length from two that are under two minutes too one that is over eight. The total disc time is around 45 minutes. Some songs are relaxing and mellow, while others are upbeat and edgy. All of them are Psychedelic in their own way.
